Helping You Thrive in Your Community
Welcome to OIL!
OIL is the peak body for people with disability living in Central West Queensland.
We work across the Outback to help people access the NDIS, connect with services, and co-create local solutions that work in remote communities.
We support individuals, families, and carers to feel confident, capable, and connected — no matter where they live.
Our Vision
People with disability belong and thrive in Outback Queensland.
Living the Good Life in the Bush
Real stories from people with disability living strong in Outback Queensland
Our storytelling series celebrates the strength, resilience, and everyday brilliance of people with disability in the bush.
From wheelchair treks across the Outback to quiet wins at home and work — these are stories of community, culture, and courage.
Created in partnership with BushTV and funded through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, these high-quality short films share what it means to live well, live proud, and live local.
Watch the stories and feel inspired!
Outback Disability Expo 2024
Living the Good Life in Outback Queensland
We were proud, excited, and deeply moved by the incredible support we received to bring the first-ever Outback Disability Expo to life.
What started as a vision — to create space for connection, confidence and real change — became a reality thanks to over 100 attendees, over 20 stall holders, and the strength of our Outback community.
Watch the Video — Real stories. Real people. Real impact.
