We were proud, excited, and deeply moved by the incredible support we received to bring the first-ever Outback Disability Expo to life.
What started as a vision — to create space for connection, confidence and real change — became a reality thanks to over 100 attendees, 27 service providers, and the strength of our Outback community.

Our inspiring guest speaker from Down Syndrome Australia at this year’s Disability Expo! Michael brings an incredible blend of passion and enthusiasm to everything he does. Known for his strong communication and people skills, he’s a highly motivated individual who connects with audiences in a relatable and authentic way.

Tracey Jackson
An extraordinary athlete and advocate. As a former Australian para-shooter in 10m air rifle, Tracey has excelled in her sport, finding empowerment, joy, and a strong community. Today, she channels her passion into disability advocacy, consultancy, and mentoring, working with unOther and Christina Stephens to promote inclusivity. Tracey's story is one of resilience, and she inspires all to embrace their unique journey and live fully.
Expo Vendors
Queensland Government’s Department of Child Safety, Seniors, and Disability Services is attending the Expo to provide information on how to access the NDIS and support available for assessments, and providing an update to the community on the current and upcoming reform changes
Ram Care is a one-stop shop home care provider, offering a wide range of services including domestic cleaning, pet grooming, lawn mowing, allied care, nurse care, dementia care, palliative care, home maintenance, and transport, among others.
ASC has an experienced team of Support Coordinators with diverse backgrounds in the disability and aged care sectors. They work with individuals to help them understand the NDIS, its processes, and their funding to achieve identified goals. ASC supports clients in exploring services that meet their needs, providing the necessary information to make informed decisions throughout their journey.
Oak Tree Alliance specialise in delivering individualised support coordination and specialist support coordination services that foster growth and connection and empower those with disabilities to lead strong, resilient and inclusive lives.
Selectability is a not-for-profit charity committed to improving wellbeing and contributing to suicide prevention across regional Queensland. They believe that everyone has the right to access high-quality support at every stage of their live and have more recently expanded programs to include child safety, and residential aged care in the Lower Gulf.
Remote Mobility was founded on a vision to transform mobility product accessibility and improve service quality for remote living Australians. Now, people who typically wouldn't have access to mobility equipment, or suffer from lengthy delays to be provided with a service, can stay at home longer or make their day to day living activities easier with a timely and quality provider. With a strong focus on after sales support, we provide a thorough and tailored experience that genuinely cares for remote communities.
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency. Their role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.
Capricorn Citizen Advocacy Rockhampton assist those with cognitive or communication disabilities who may rely heavily on others to support them every day, especially if they are segregated from the general community and become isolated. Everyone needs justice, acceptance, love, security and control over the course of their lives. From time to time we all need practical support and representation. Unfortunately these human needs are often not met for people with disabilities.
iCare Rehab Queensland offers expert physiotherapy assessment and treatment plans to challenge the brain and body in a safe and supportive environment. They provide friendly and inspiring treatment and aim to offer effective, up-to-date care for each condition, utilising evidence-based practice.

Regional Health & Mobility is an enterprise dedicated to supporting the community's needs in mobility equipment and accessories, Medical Aids Subsidy Scheme approvals, and aids to assist with daily living at home. As part of the CQ Friendly Society Pty Ltd, which has been serving the Central Queensland region since 1894, they offer rehabilitation equipment for hire and sale.
Pathways offers information and referral service that assists Queenslanders with disability, their family, friends and carers to find advocacy services to suit their needs and location. Where needed, they are happy to provide warm referrals to ensure people are able to access the services they need to improve their lives.
Guide Dogs Australia, in collaboration with its state and territory-based organisations, delivers essential services to children, teenagers, adults, and older Australians who are blind or have low vision in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, and the Northern Territory.
AQ has proudly delivered quality services and supports for autistic Queenslanders since 1967. Experience, insight & knowledge gained over these 56 years has led to effective state & national support services guided by a vision of a life of participation, opportunity & choice. As Queensland’s peak autism service and support provider, AQ’s extensive community includes individual clients, their families and others working/supporting them including educators and professionals, government agencies, support groups & other disability supports for autistic people.
NWRH provides allied health, home and community supports, mental health and well-being, and headspace services throughout rural, regional, and remote Queensland. Their goal is to assist in improving the physical, social, and emotional well-being of the clients they work with.
